If you have any questions about your renewal please call us immediately on
0870 0130 613. We have compiled a list of Frequently Asked Questions below - these are questions that our customers have asked before that may help you save some time. Please note it is very important to read your renewal invitation and its terms and conditions thoroughly.

Q: I haven't received my renewal quote yet - what should I do?

A: Your renewal invitation will be sent to you by post within 21 days of your renewal date. If you have not received any correspondence by this deadline please contact us immediately, so that we can check your details and resend the information.

Q: Why has my policy number or insurance company changed?

A: its4me is a broker and as such, we shop around our panel of insurers each year to obtain the most competitive and suitable quote for you.

Q: How much will my optional legal cover be at renewal?

A: Our legal cover is offered at £25 when you take out your initial policy and the same rate of £25 will apply at renewal.

Q: I paid by monthly direct debit last year - do I need to make a deposit this year?

A: No - as an existing customer, you do not need to make an initial deposit. Your direct debit payments will be distributed over a period of 12 months. If you are renewing with the same insurer, we will automatically continue your direct debit payments. If you renew with a different insurer, you will need to contact us to set up your payments and avoid paying an initial deposit.

Q: I paid my premium in one lump sum last year - can I switch to monthly direct debit payments this year?

A: Yes - you can decide which payment method you use this year. Either pay for your premium in full via debit or credit card when you take out your policy or pay a deposit of 2 months' instalments on your card, followed by 10 monthly payments via direct debit.

Q: Will you renew my policy using exactly the same details as last year?

A: No - we will update your policy details to include any changes you have made during the year (e.g. change of address, change of vehicle etc). We will also take into account any claims or convictions that have been reported during the year or add on an extra year of NCD if you have not reported any claims that affect your NCD. Your renewal quote will reflect the fact that you are 1 year older, have held your license for an extra year, have owned your vehicle for an extra year and that the vehicle is 1 year older.

Please check the details of your renewal quote carefully to confirm that all the information is correct and up to date.

Q: Is my renewal quote guaranteed?

A: No - in order to remain competitive we update our prices monthly to reflect the new rates offered by our panel of insurers. Hopefully, this should mean your quote would be less following a rates change. In some cases, a rates change could result in a different insurer being most competitive for you.

Q: When do I tell you about accidents or convictions that occurred during my policy last year?

A: If you have not done so already, you must inform us of any accidents or convictions you have sustained before you purchase your renewal. This applies to all accidents, losses or thefts, even if you were not at fault or did not choose to make a claim.

Q: I would like to continue to pay by monthly direct debit but my bank details have changed - what should I do?

A: You must let us know if your bank details are incorrect - otherwise we will not be able to take payment from your account. If this happens, you are likely to incur administration charges and your policy could ultimately be lapsed.
